Why we do it
South Africa is experiencing a brain drain of talent. This is partly because there are little driven and truly innovative opportunities. However, South Africa has many problems that need solving and only by working together and taking risks can we create a better South Africa. We want to help create, develop and maintain innovative and needed solutions.
There are a lot of people with great ideas out there but do not have the means or resources to develop the idea. RenewGen is a systematic approach to build a company from low resources to a company with many resources. RenewGen brings together exceptional individuals that are unique in their own way and driven in a way that is not commonly found amongst people today.
How we Started
We are a group of South Africans with a passion to make a change and bring innovation to Africa. Founded during the global pandemic period in 2020, in a time when we were confined to our homes, we sat down with the need to do more. The team contains young and energetic people, each with their own unique set of skills and experiences. It is only together that we hold the perfect ingredients to make a successful company. Each of us have a important role to play.
The team works well together and we are more than just friends or business partners, we are a family. The founding team of RenewGen has a hunger to make a meaningfu impact using innovation. Innovation is not only a technical skill but also an art form, a way of life and community.
Our Team
Our Founding team is a collection of young energetic and passionate individuals. We don’t only manage the companies but we also develop its technology and systems.
The RenewGen Model
RenewGen cannot be categorized in a specific wrapper or vehicle. It is unique and resembles parts of existing structures – taking what works and changing what doesn’t. RenewGen Phase 1 is to “act” as a holding company, where it has subsidiaries which grow and create a capital pool from which more solutions can be developed. RenewGen will grow into a solutions company that forms new subsidiaries to solve new and existing problems of the future. RenewGen will grow to be known as a company that solves problems and helps people bring their solutions to fruition. The long-term goal of RenewGen is for individuals or startups to approach RenewGen to help them develop and proliferate their ideas.
